The are quite a few mystery shopping organizations out there to choose from. However, you must be careful when looking for a mystery shopping job. The best thing to do is check this organization out by the Better Business Bureau because many have been scammed from people posing as mystery shopping organizations.
Each mystery shop is certified by a national mystery shop organization. If that symbol is not on the website or blog or if the mystery shop organization does not have a blog or website, then that is a red flag. If a company cannot expose its information to the public, then its hiding something.
Another red flag is when a mystery shop emails you and gives you an assignment instead of you choosing your own assignment. Please beware because there is a scam where the company gives you an assignment, sends you a check and asks you to cash the check by using your checking account. Do not trust
that company because they are only setting you up with a bogus check. If you cash the check and the bogus check is cashed with your account number, then you will be responsible for the money.
The last thing I want to note is never pay to join a mystery shop. There is usually not a fee to join a mystery shop. If there is a fee, someone is trying to get you money for something that is not charged.
Do not waste your money on something you can get free. Later, I will note mystery shops that are available and that you can trust to get great mystery opportunities like shopping at restaurants, car dealer sites, pharmacies, banks, and movie sites. You can be a successful mystery shopper!
